Introduction: Phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) activity has been reported to be critical to sperm motility and mitochondrial ROS generation while mitochondrial membrane protein Prohibitin (PHB) controls PI3K/AKT pathway in somatic cells by regulating mitochondrial function.
